We do not have to check whether subscribers who have IBM or A&T have GM, Ford and US air? How to determine if there is other overlaps or not? because we do not have any information regarding other companies overlaps except IBM and AT&T in the question?
You are right that some of the subscribers who own IBM or AT&T stock may or may not own GM, Ford, and US Air stocks. However, here we are just looking to count the subscribers that do not own either IBM or AT&T stock. We are essentially looking for people who may fall in the following categories: owns only GM stock, owns GM and Ford stocks, owns GM, Ford, and US Air stocks, owns GM and US Air stocks, etc. This means we are looking for the region that is outside the circles that I drew in the video.
